Hot food at the correct temperature.
The chicken karahi (extra hot) tastes of herbs and tomatoes I think, but it matches really well with the chicken. The chicken vindaloo… read more is mainly spicey sauce with chicken pieces and potatoes, which is what the menu says. The chicken from the karahi is slightly drier than the chicken from the vindaloo, but both are in good spicy sauce.
Overall, everything is as expected, and it also tastes quite nice. The spicy chicken is good.
A family dinner on a sunday night. The food was very good and there was plenty of it! The staff were really friendly and did their best to guide us… read more through the menu, as we weren’t really experienced with indian food. I can warmly recommend this restaurant!
Fabulous place to go we went last night and it was really busy but they found a little spot for regulars ( even though it’s been a couple of months)… read more food atmosphere and service fabulous.
A very busy little restaurant that serves excellent Indian cuisine. It can get tremendously busy in a matter of minutes so you may want to come early to avoid the… read more hustle and bustle. Service is good but very rushed.
Stayed in Paddington loads of times and can’t believe I ve never been here before! Had chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken masala, pilau rice and the best…. and I mean… read more the best garlic Nan bread ever! Loaded with garlic a bit crispy didn’t want it to end!! Will definitely return.
We ordered food last night through Deliveroo and it was absolutely revolting. I wanted to leave feedback but I could not workout how to do this. The food had obviously… read more been warmed up it arrived 23 minutes after we ordered it (its a 7 to 10 minute ride/drive to our address from the restaurant) there is no way any of the food was freshly cooked. It had not been warmed up properly (probably microwaved as you could not even heat up the oven in this time) and parts of it were cold. Disgusting! I could not eat it it was terrible. Went in the bin. I’m not impressed definitely won’t be ordering from here again, probably won’t use Deliveroo again unless I am familiar with the restaurant.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The food is well presented, tasty and has good flavours. The mint chutney (they called it,) was one of the best I’ve had, plenty… read more of mint. The service is friendly and efficient. We were told they were short staffed on the night we visited but you wouldn’t have known that.
The furniture and decor are tired but the food more than makes up for that. Reasonable prices. We are returning and would recommend.
Probably worth booking for peak times.
Ordered a way too expensive meal from this place via Deliveroo, guess what… ok wait for it, its an Indian Restaurant but they forgot to put rice in with my… read more order!! Yeah kind of incredible really, waited much too long too. Couldnt eat the curry without rice, I mean you cant can you? Called the restaurant directly to try to get some remedy, guy is there on his own and cant help even though he admitted his mistake. So I would avoid at all costs ordering online from this restaurant. There are plenty more, better equipped to get you the meal you pay for during this trying time.
What a wonderful place this is! We have eaten a lot of good Indian food in London, but this is right at the top of the list – and at… read more great prices. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, despite being very busy on the night we ate here. The Balti and Korma dishes were great. The use of coconut in the Korma was particularly interesting (not done that way anywhere in our area). Naan was also outstanding. Can’t say enough about them: this was our best meal in our recent week in London.
It’s a very nice Restaurant. Very delicious and a very friendly team! I recommend this restaurant. Perfect!
Good food, very generous and loaded with flavour. Amazing service and you you get good value for your money. I recommend it.
We stopped in for a quick dinner after a long day of touring and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We had vegetable samosas, lamb pasanda, lamb tikka with curry sauce and… read more cheese naan. My favorite was the lamb pasanda and it was my first time having it. Similar to a korma sauce but richer. I’ve seen comments about the staff not being friendly, but that wasn’t our experience at all — they couldn’t have been nicer! Free wifi, too, was a bonus for us as tourists.
We chose this restaurant for a curry as it was rated the best one in the vicinity of our hotel. I wish we hadnt have bothered. Despite the pictures, the… read more tables are not laid with table cloths and although cotton napkins are provided it doesnt give a great first impression to see stained wooden tables. We were sat near the bar and for some reason, every time the waiters went past they bashed into me, which made it unpleasant as we squashed further in to avoid this. The poppadums and chutneys were average but it was the main dishes that were the real issue. I ordered a lamb Pasanda which is normally as mild as a korma. My husband ordered a chicken dish that was medium. However, when the dishes arrived the pasanda was hotter than the chicken dish! Fortunately we had mushroom bhaji on the side so I just ate that and some of the breads. None of the breads were fresh – all tasted cash and carry bulk buy rather than made in house. The walls were in desperate need of a paint and the bar area had a broken and peeling surround. If a restaurant cant pay attention to the state of its front facing facilities then heaven only knows what the kitchen must be like. I did tell the waiter that my dish was medium spicy and not mild as expected. He agreed that it should have been as spicy as a korma and offered to tell the chef. Every time the main door opens it sends an icy chill through the restaurant and some of the diners stayed in their coats if they were next to the door. There are some great looking restaurants in this area and I would suggest you eat in one of those rather than here.
Good environment with good food. Love the Space of the restaurant, food was authentic and deliciou. Love to go again
The menu was a bit old fashioned but they did everything superbly. We didn’t expect any restaurant to try so hard near Paddington Station, but the service was great. The… read more flavourings were superb, the ingredients were high quality and the prices were reasonable.
Went here as located near my hotel and was a great choice. I ordered a lamb josh, pilau rice and a garlic naan. The curry was beautiful and fresh with… read more a perfect amount of spice the lamb was lovely and tender. The garlic naan was clearly freshly made. Highly recommend a visit.
Small, crowded, noisy and a lot of fun.
The Cobra beer is well balanced.
The Naan bread was delectable.
Although full as we attempted a ‘walk-in’ at 7.15pm they offered and found us a table within 30 minutes and, after the short pause in a nearby pub, we had… read more a very enjoyable meal . Good service and lovely tastes
Staying in Hilton Paddington and saw the solid reviews and thought I would give this place a try. Chicken Tikka Dhansak was one of the best I’ve ever had. Staff… read more super friendly and attentive. Only a small place so expect it will be very busy/full at times. Excellent tasting food and exceptional value for money for London. Would definitely visit again.
We were looking for something different when fish and chips are not going to satisfy. We found this friendly restaurant with good portions and attentive service. Thank you for the… read more amazing meal.
9/10
In London for work and found this place near my hotel. Having read some recent reviews decided this was my place to eat for the night. I ordered fish pakora,… read more mixed tandoori main with masala sauce( extra charge) and Chapati and large bottle of beer. So all good up to now until my fish pakora arrived, let’s say I was shocked and very disappointed. What I got was fish in breadcrumbs no spice no pakora batter, how any decent Indian could serve this as pakora is beyond me. Onto the mains and the two pieces of lamb were nice the kebab was nice however the tandoori chicken was dry stringy and tasteless and the chicken on the bone was ok. What I would say is that I have had a lot better at most Indians I have visited and unlike most of my other reviews I wouldn’t recommend a visit to this restaurant better try and find somewhere better.
A tiny bit out of the way, and unassuming from outside, this place was a gem. They had a good variety, but not overwhelming. The staff were fast and friendly… read more and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. And the price was reasonable. Will definitely eat there again!
We hadn’t booked and the place was busy, but a table was found for us after a couple of minutes. Excellent food and friendly staff. Only criticism was not enough… read more space between tables, as diners where leaving they ran the risk of sweeping the tables next to them clean. Great value for money and worth a visit.
Pretty standard Indian restaurant; it’s not that big so the tables are fairly close together; standard decor! It was Saturday night, and even being by myself I was lucky to… read more get a table.
Service was good, friendly enough but they don’t have too much time for you as they are so busy. However, service was quick and accurate.
I had poppadoms with pickles (obviously); the pickles were a bit thin. Then Chicken Dopiaza with mushroom bhaji, pilau rice and a naan bread. Dopiaza sauce was tasty and thick, but the big chunks of onion were a bit too crunchy for me. The rest was all good.
So a decent meal, not outstanding; I would go there again if in the area.
A friend and I shared two thali plates for dinner. It was delicious and great value, and a cosy welcoming environment. Would definitely go back if I’m staying in this… read more area again.
Enjoyed a dinner at Mughals while in London. Had read many reviews that said the food was great and we agree. Ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo and samosas… read more and all was delicious. We had also read that the restaurant was not the prettiest, I remember one reviewer saying it was “a bit tatty”. I would agree but add that the front room looks ok/average, but we ate in the back room and that was firmly tatty. But if you like good food and choose it over ambiance this place is for you.
